  • 3200m – 8:51.44
  • 5K (xc) – 14:40.82
Sam has to be considered one of the best distance runners of all time in Texas. He is a 4 time state champion with his most impressive performances coming in his Senior year where he won both the 800m and 1600m which were held in the same day.  He set the state record in the 1600m and almost did the same in the 800m.
He was potent on the cross country course also placing 2nd at Nike Nationals and 9th at Footlocker. He will make an immediate impact on a talented University of Texas team. He will teammate with old High School teammate Alex Rogers who is currently running very well at UT.
